Pressing system with force-displacement control
Characteristics
Bearing press-fit system with real- time force and displacement measurement, integrated OK- NOK control of initial, average, and final force and displacement values, and auto-setting of strokes in the event of a code change. The system is connected to a remote line control PC for managing test plans. Vision system for checking the presence of components during assembly.
Customer needs
Have a system that can apply forces of the order of 200 kg to press-fit bearings onto the shafts of fractional electric motors. Be able to independently set the press-fit height and the forces to be tested.
Solution
The system is built using a numerically controlled electric press with integrated displacement and force measurement. It is integrated into the production line via a PLC that connects via Ethernet to the line control PC for managing test recipes. The equipment also features a QR code scanner for tracking machined parts.
