Customer needs
The customer is a leading manufacturer of diaphragm metering pumps. To upgrade their end-of-line testing, they needed a dual-station test rig capable of
accurately measuring the flow rate of their diaphragm pump range at specified downstream backpressure values, integrating with the relevant electrical measurements.
Solution
We developed a custom test bench that allows for simultaneous operation of both stations. Flow rate measurement is performed by measuring the volume of water in a cylinder using a high-precision optical scale. This cylinder is pressurized by a second cylinder of a different diameter to exploit the pressure multiplication effect. The data acquisition system is real-time and operates at 1 kHz.
